Professional and recreational standup paddleboard athletes from around the region and the world will take to the waters of the Columbia River for the Salmon Classic Paddleboard Race, an 8 mile long course and a 4 mile short course. A $2,000 prize will be given for both the winning man and woman competitors.
The SUP competition coincides with the fall Chinnook slamon run, where upwards of 40,000 salmon daily will be making their way up river. A pre-race blessing and entertainment will be provided by the Chinook Indian Nation.
