Spring Clean Up at Pacific Crest Academy

The Habitat for Humanity Store, in partnership with Pacific Crest Academy will be holding a Spring Clean-Up event on May 14th. This event takes place in the parking lot of Pacific Crest Academy at St. Thomas Aquinas in Camas from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 14th. The Habitat for Humanity Store?s truck will be on site and staffed with volunteers ready to take donations of gently used building materials, furniture, appliances and other home improvement items. Items collected during the events will be sold at the Habitat for Humanity Store, and proceeds from the sale of these items will help Habitat for Humanity build homes for local low-income families.

When Pacific Crest Academy learned that the Habitat for Humanity Store was looking for a public Spring Clean-Up venue in Camas, they generously offered to donate use of their parking lot for the event.

?We are eager to provide a donation locale, ensuring that the Clark County Habitat for Humanity Store has a successful Spring Clean-Up,? said Pacific Crest Academy?s Marketing and Development Director Melissa Beatty, ?Our partnerships with organizations like Habitat for Humanity not only enable us to engage with our neighbors and fellow community members, but unite us for a common good.?

In addition to the Spring Clean-Up events, the Habitat for Humanity Store, located at 5000 E 4th Plain Blvd. in Vancouver, accepts materials donations during regular business hours until 5:30 p.m., and it offers pickup service for large items. To inquire about a pickup, contact the store at 503.213.1313. The store is open Tuesday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

About the Habitat for Humanity Store: The Habitat for Humanity Store is open to the public and sells a variety of donated new and gently used building materials and other home improvement products at a fraction of retail prices. The Clark County Habitat for Humanity Store, together with the Portland Metro ReStore, eases demand on natural resources by keeping usable materials out of landfills.
