Poet Added to Second Story Gallery’s First Friday in August
In addition to offering paintings and music, Second Story Gallery will be presenting Live Wire! House Poet Scott Poole during the reception Friday, Aug. 1, that kicks off the month’s art exhibit.
Underscoring the theory that creativity runs in families, Scott is the son of one of the featured artists, Cheryl Poole.  He can be heard on Oregon Public Broadcasting during the weekly program Live Wire!, taped in Portland and broadcast nationally on PRI.  He is known for his on-the-spot compositions that end the show.

Scott is also the author of three books of poetry and writes a weekly poem based on the news of the world for Nailed Magazine.
The poet will be sharing the evening with musician T Walker Anderson, a popular local performer who has a following among gallery goers.  Also scheduled to perform is the Battle Ground Jazz Trio.  The art exhibit “Earth, Water, and Fire, Our Group Show” will continue in the gallery through Aug. 30.  The group consists of Marj Casswell, Millie Kimery, Cheryl Poole and Roxce Stavney.

Join us at on Aug. 1 for an evening of exceptional art set to music and interspersed with poetry from nationally recognized poet Scott Poole of the weekly Live Wire! show broadcast on Oregon Public Broadcasting.
“Earth, Water, and Fire, Our Group Show” will feature four artists who paint together, Marj Casswell, Millie Kimery, Cheryl Poole and Roxce Stavney.  Their work will continue on exhibit through Aug. 30.
The First Friday reception at Second Story Gallery will also introduce Scott Poole to Camas at 6 p.m. in the meeting room adjoining the gallery.  He is the author of three books of poetry and is well known for his performances on Live Wire!, the public radio show taped in Portland for PRI and 
Also performing will be the popular Washougal keyboardist T Walker Anderson and the Battle Ground Jazz Trio.
Don’t miss the excitement at Second Story Gallery, upstairs in the Camas Public Library.  Front doors are open until 8 p.m. on First Friday.
