Search engine optimization is the process of improving the visibility of a website or a webpage in search engines. In general, when someone searches for an item they only review the first two pages of results, even though a search engine like Google produces thousands of results for each keyword search. The result of better optimization on your site equals a higher ranked, which turns into more visitors!

About our speaker: Dr. Dene Grigar has been involved in digital media for over 20 years, using computers and computing devices to analyze information, produce multimedia, and develop tools for teaching and learning. Her research focuses on the production of 3D interactive works, serious games, at-a-distance performances. In this capacity she directs the MOVE Lab (Motion tracking, Virtual Environment lab). She also helps businesses and nonprofit organizations to develop an online presence through the use of web-based technologies, particularly social networking tools.
