ABWA Camas Mother’s Day Plant and Garden Fair
Saturday, May 10.
Downtown Camas will be in full bloom for the 11th annual Mother’s Day Plant & Garden Fair on Saturday, May 10. The event, presented by Columbia Gorge Charter Chapter of American Business Women’s Association (ABWA), will take place on the tree-lined streets of downtown Camas from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Corporate sponsors include Georgia Pacific, Lindsay’s Flowers, Martha Martin, PhD.,
psychologist and Pike Advertising Agency.
“The event is free to the public, but we are asking plant fair attendees to bring non-perishable food to donate to the Letter Carrier’s Annual Food Drive. Collection areas will be located throughout downtown Camas,” says ABWA President Sally Greenlee.
Collected food will be donated to the Inter Faith Treasure House to serve those in need in Camas and Washougal. “Discover everything beautiful and blooming for your garden. And, just in time for Mother’s Day, we’re sure you’ll find many beautiful gifts for Mom to
select from,” says Greenlee.
Now in its eleventh year, the event seems to get better each season. Attendees are invited to stroll through blocks and blocks of garden vendors offering their various garden sundries. Discover lots and lots of plants - some rare and exotic, bird houses and feeders, topiaries, deck planters, garden art, water gardens, wind chimes and many other yard and garden supplies. “This really is a great garden show you won’t want to miss,” says Greenlee. This year, the Camas
Mother’s Day Plant Fair will showcase over 80 local and regional vendors.
Bring the entire family. ABWA is also planning free garden related
activities for children sponsored by Lowe’s Home Improvement. The
“Kids Garden Zone” will be located on Dallas Street near Pike Art
Gallery. For more information regarding the plant and garden fair,

As in year’s past, the Camas Community Health & Safety Fair will also
be held in conjunction with the annual plant and garden fair. We’ve
all heard the saying, “if you have your health, you have
everything.” What we frequently don’t have is the time to get
simple health checks and safety information we need. Meet local experts
and enjoy fun, interactive booths with screenings and information.
Visit Fourth Avenue between Everett and Franklin in downtown Camas
between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. for free screenings and information
about fire safety, dentistry, chiropractic, audiology, massage
therapy, nutrition, optometry, personal fitness, counseling, yoga,
organ donations, senior care, health insurance and more. The Health
Fair is presented by Dr. Evan Gwilliam of HealthWorks Services. For
inquiries about the health fair, contact (360) 904-0205.
