SUMMARY:Tea and Conversation: A Gathering of Women
DESCRIPTION:Dr. Martin is hosting an afternoon speakers series from November 2009 through March 2010 for women only.  Our first ?Tea? is Saturday\, November 21\, 2009.\n\nThis time will be for relaxation\, enjoying a cup of tea (with or without caffeine)\, while enjoying a presentation by women of our community. This is a time to see into someone else's life so that you may add to yours.\n\nCome and join other women\, learn about yourself and others\, network with local women\, make new friends\, gather new information or reinforce your strengths. This time is just for you to refresh and renew!\n\nThe location is the conference room in the new Washougal Town Square Building\, 1700 Main Street\, the second floor looking out over the courtyard.\n\nThe cost is $20\, or if you bring a food item for six\, you pay only $15. (See registration form for examples of food items.)   Limited to 15 women.  You may either download the registration form from Dr.  Martin's website (www.marthamartinphd.com)\, or email Dr. Martin to let her know you will attend\, and bring the form with you. (email: Dr.Martin@marthamartinphd.com)\n\nOur speaker\, Susan Stauffer\, established her own law firm 29 years ago in Vancouver\, then in 1990 located to Camas. From 1994 to 2008\, she was located in Washougal\, relocating recently to Vancouver. Her major at the University of Berkeley was Anthropology. She has interests in history\, volunteering\, and organizing non-profits\, and co-founded Concerned Citizens In Action. She was involved in the East County Lewis and Clark Bicentennial committee which led to the establishment of Captain Clark Park on the Columbia River in Washougal.\n\nThis is your time as women to gather and learn about each other. Our guest speaker will share with you her own personal story\, and then will open the time to discussion. Come and observe\, or use this time to participate in a conversation with our guest speaker. \n\nYou deserve a break! Treat yourself to a cozy afternoon\, a great cup of tea\, something sweet to munch\, time for yourself\, and stimulating conversation!
