SUMMARY:Race for Warmth
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the inaugural Race for Warmth to support Operation Warm Heart\, a Clark Public Utilities customer-funded program to help limited-income families in crisis situations who need help paying their electric bills. \n\nSince its creation in 1985\, Operation Warm Heart has provided nearly $2.4 million to about 11\,000 customers who are barely making ends meet. These neighbors don't qualify for other government programs that could help them pay their winter bills. As other sources of aid continue to be cut\, more of our customers rely on Operation Warm Heart for assistance. \n\nFor more than 20 years\, Clark Public Utilities customers have generously funded Operation Warm Heart. Those customer contributions provide a perpetual source of funding to help low-income families in crisis.\n\n\n\nYour participation in this event you will help raise awareness of Operation Warm Heart and funds raised will go to help our less fortunate neighbors warm their homes.\n\nRace Details\n\n\n	\n \n \n Date: Sunday\, February 8\, 2015\n\n Times:\n\n 8:30 AM: Free Kids Run (ages 3 to 8)\n\n 9:00 AM: 10K Run Start\n\n 9:15 AM: 5K Walk/Run Start\n\n \n\n Location/Start Area:\n\n Clark Public Utilities\n\n 1200 Fort Vancouver Way\n\n Vancouver\, WA 98663\n \n \n Distances: 10K Run\, 5K Run & 5K Walk\n\n Entry Fee: $30\n\n Includes:\n\n \n Race\n T-Shirt\n Draw string bags with goodies\n Snacks\n Automatic entry into prize drawings\n \n \n \n	\n\n\nPre-registration closes on Friday\, January 30\, 2015.
