Please join the Camas-Washougal Chamber of Commerce for the May luncheon event on Thursday\, May 21st at Camas Meadows Golf Course. The doors will open at 11:30 am for a networking period\, with the program beginning at noon. The cost is \\$15 per member\, and \\$17 for perspective non-members and guests. Attendees must RSVP at least 24 hours before the event\, as we pre order lunches. \;
The luncheon speaker will be the Camas-Washougal Chamber&rsquo\;s Economic Development and Education Committee. The Committee will conduct a two-part luncheon program. First\, Dr. Martha Martin will speak on \;promoting "\;Responsiveness and not Reactiveness"\; in the current economic environment\; and how to use that methodology to maintain our businesses. The Committee will then conduct round-table discussions on pre-set questions\, \;with a focus on creating relationships and how we see and respond to the \;climate surrounding our community. \;
The CW Chamber&rsquo\;s Committee\, revamped in 2007\, started off by conducting the first ever Economic Development Forum for East County. The Committee also hosted an education forum and aided in the creation of both High Schools robotics teams. Committee members are actively involved in both school districts for senior boards and other programming. The Committee\, along with CW Chamber staff established a brand new publication: "\;The Guidebook for Developing Business in Camas &\; Washougal"\; which brings together all the economic development information and business resources for moving or starting a business in East County.
