DESCRIPTION:On Thursday\, March 18th the Camas-Washougal Chamber of Commerce will host a luncheon event unlike any other. A 'Spring Connections' speed networking format will be hosted by Laura Forsyth the Chairwoman of the Chamber's Membership Committee. Forsyth\, of Creative Computer Solutions\, Inc is also a Board Member. The Membership Committee of the Chamber has been working hard to bring more straight-forward networking events. The speed networking event will give members the opportunity to be seated face-to-face with about 20 contacts in a 45 minute period. This provides a 2 minute "quick meet" where business cards are exchanged first so you can follow up\, and time is given to each for an introduction. After two minutes a bell will ring and a new connection will be presented\, and so on. Be prepared\, think of your 45 second "elevator speech" and bring enough business cards. If you are interested in getting more involved with the CW Chamber\, being part of the Membership Committee could be perfect for you. In addition to hosting this luncheon\, they launched an maintain the new "Chamber Happy Hour" event a focused networking period. The committee greets new members\, acting as the "welcome wagon" at events and luncheons. They also host online training tutorials (for online chamber benefits) for new members.  The Camas-Washougal Chamber of Commerce's luncheon is open to members and prospective members. The cost is $15 per member and $20 per non-member. You must RSVP at least 24-hours in advance attend the event. Reservations can be made via email to chandra@cwchamber.com or via (360) 834-2472.
