DESCRIPTION:We have been conducting Job Seekers Conferences. These conferences have successfully assisted Job Seekers in developing an effective strategy for finding a job. Overall\, the benefits of our program:  1. Attendees learned - from a hiring managers point of view 2. Learned about updating attention "getters" in cover letters\, resumes\, and follows up letters. Direct answers were given to advanced questions. 3. Attendees were exposed to national\, local\, and industry Job Search technology and how to use these powerful tools to help them get a lead on the right job. 4. Attendees were shown how to significantly expand their network in the community and online. 5. Attendees got to meet a State recruiter and get information on how their transferable skills could qualify them for federal\, state\, and local government jobs. 6. Attendees received an overview about options in self employment\, both temporary and new career Overall\, we demonstrated what it takes to find the right job lead and turn the job lead into an interview. Overall\, we provide sound\, effective direction in an area where many professionals lack expertise. Seekers are also telling us that we are helping them improve their daily morale while re-igniting their search efforts.
