DESCRIPTION:April First Friday Event - "Spring into History"\n\n\n\n \n\nOur history is cool! Join the Downtown Camas Association for a fun celebration of Camas history at April's First Friday\, April 1st\, 5-8pm. Activities include:\n\n\n	Play the "Guess About Camas" history game in participating businesses\, learn about why Camas is so great\, and be entered to win prizes from the merchants!\n	Origami demos and kids' crafts by Yuki Martin to celebrate our paper and Japanese Sister City history\n	\n		Fun fact: Yuki is from a little town next to one of Camas' sister cities\, Hosoe-cho.  Her high school in Japan\, Seirei Christopher\, has had an exchange program with Camas High School\, and she attended a similar school in its exchange program.  That was her first experience living in the U.S.\, and 20 years later\, she still lives in this country\, in Portland\, Oregon.\n	\n	\n	Find out why Downtown Camas got cool in the 6o's\n	Make s'mores with iQ Credit Union! (weather permitting :))\n	Art Shows and receptions at Camas Gallery (Candy Bafus\, glass artist)\, 408 NE 4th\; Attic Gallery (Jean Schwalbe\, abstract painting exhibit)\, 421 NE Cedar\; and Second Story Gallery (Kari Jensen\, acrylics & Aimee Reimschussel\, totemic cut-out images of animals of the Pacific Northwest) at the library\, 625 NE 4th\n	Get "kissed"! (Hershey's that is)\n	Play the GP toilet paper toss as a tribute to our mill history\n	Liberty Theatre will be showing MONTY PYTHON & THE HOLY GRAIL 41st Anniversary "Quote-Along"   One of the most quotable films of all time where characters jump in and out of history will be presented with "quotibles" (subtitles) for audience participation. All seats $5\, 8pm.\n	Book Signing hosted at Journey for "Under the Shadow of Your Wings" Book of Poetry by Arla Jensen\n	Guess the "Spring Eggs" jar and win\n	Wear a vintage hat or clothes and enter to win!\n	Find out where our Camas lily fields grow\n	Take a selfie with historic props\n	Earn a ticket to win for every $10 you spend in downtown that day\n	Hello Waffle Cart will be on site with their delicious waffles you can get a "traditional" waffle to stay with the historic theme or enjoy one of their amazing specialty waffles!
